I am almost 4 weeks out from surgery. Not many changes in my weight or in what I can eat. Weeks 3 and 4 are the same. New items are low fat cheese, multigrain low fiber crackers, soft fist, canned vegetables, canned fruit without skin.
I am down 22 pounds since September 13th. Not too bad. If I were really working the program I'd have lost more weight possibly and might be a bit healthier....heres what I am talking about:
When I had my surgery I told the doctor that my way wasn't working and that I needed help. So I agreed to doing things his way...except that I really haven't...in small ways and in not so small ways.....
Yep. Story of my life. I think I know how to do it better. When in actuality, I am just being stubborn about following the directions I have been given.
Here is the lowdown of what I've NOT been doing:
So....I am needing to drink more water. I am averaging around 32 oz to maybe 50 oz. I need to get 64 if I am following directions.
I need to get more protein. 60 mg per day if I am following directions.
I need to take my bariatric vitamins...not doing that every day. Whew those things are awful. I "should" buy a different bottle that tastes better, but then I'd be wasting the money that I used on the first one. If I were following directions I'd be taking them 2x per day plus my calcium chews and my iron shot that is monthly.
I have not been exercising either....say what??? That is the craziest one to my own ears. I have a treadmill, I live in a nice neighborhood that has sidewalks, I HAVE A GYM MEMBERSHIP,FOR THE LOVE OF PETE!!! No excuses, I need to follow directions and exercise.
Okay-thats me being honest and real.
